Hello Parents!
The Wax Museum is this Thursday at 7. We sent home a notice that students need to be at Willard at 6;45 to prepare themselves. Parents will report to the auditorium while children set up. Be sure to bring spare coins to get the children to perform. The money we earn will go to The Make a Wish Foundation. The children voted for this charity. The Wax Museum will end at 7:30. The children are quite excited and have been practicing hard.
We NEED your help for many things in the coming months:
1. We desperately need dry erase markers. We are almost completely dried out and doing math kills lots of trees unless we have them. If you can help, please do.
2. We desperately need sharpened number 2 pencils. Children seem to eat them! We need the for ISAT testing which comes up March 11-20.
3. We need parents to donate/serve breakfast during ISAT. We will eat from 9-9:15 and then parents will need to disappear. The state forbids parents to be in the room of the same grade as their child once those test books are opened. The idea of breakfast each day is to calm the children down before the test, and to provide brain food for those children who don't normally eat until lunch. Please send me an email as to how you can help us with ISAT testing. If you could designate a day and what you will donate, it will be an immense help to us.
4. We need a room parent. Ours has gotten a big promotion and has much more limited time now. Room parents help with parties and organizing things like ISAT breakfasts. We have only one more party this year, which is the end of the year party. It will not take much of your time, but will help our class celebrate in a much more exciting way.
Please let me know how you can help. As you know, I am not big on asking for help- so write this down and call The Tribune! Thanks! Regular homework will begin again in March.
