Dear Families,
As you might know, our students will be taking the ISAT beginning next week. From March 10 - March 21, students will be assessed in reading and math (and science for fourth grade); 100% of the test questions reflect the new Common Core State Standards adopted by Illinois.
Typically, students will take the test in the morning before lunch and will only take one assessment each day. If a student is sick or misses a test one day, they will make it up upon their return. In those cases, they might end up taking two assessments in one day.
Remember, while these assessments are important for our school, they should not be a source of stress to our students. Just encourage students to do their best!
